1971 Alfa Romeo GT 2000 Veloce Racecar FIA Class CT19
Car has never been on the road, has been a racecar all its life. First entered in the Dutch touring car series by Alfa-Romeo Holland and built by Savali in 1971. The car was also entered in a few different (European) touring car series during the seventies by Dutch touring car legend Hans Deen who won the “Group 1 Championship” in 1974.
The last decade it has been raced by well-known Dutch Car-Appraiser Wolter Gratama in the NKHTGT (Dutch Historic cup). In 2010 it also competed in the Alfa-Romeo-Challenge. (more information on the car’s history upon request).
Fastest Lap time on Zandvoort this year 2.12.648 on semi-slicks.
For the 2010 season the car has had major work done to the body, suspension, safety systems and drive train. Unfortunately haven’t had the time to drive more than two races in the 2010 season. Completely ready to race for the 2011 season!
Engine:
2.0 NORD with:
Cosworth pistons,
45 Webers,
Special made camshafts,
Lightweight flywheel,
Special made 60mm exhaust system.
Has 161HP at 7300rpm at the wheels (Dyno-proof available).
Special made cooler. incl. catch-tank.
Drive train:
Rebuild gearbox with the short fifth gear (used two races).
Tilton clutch (almost new, two races).
Rebuild 9-43 rear axle with 100% LSD (used only one race).
Suspension:
Shock absorbers adjustable and heavy springs, designed and fitted by “Intrax-Suspension” Top of the bill!
32mm stabilization bar.
Completely welded-through in the front.
All bushes replaced with Powerflex.
Brakes customized for racing, but remain legal to FIA-Historic regulations.
Safety:
Sparco roll cage (FIA-Approved)
Brand new cobra racing seat (FIA-Approved)
Brand new Sabelt safety harness (FIA-Approved)
Brand new OMP fire-extinguisher (FIA-Approved)
Brand new L-tec steering wheel with “Snap-off”-system (FIA-Approved)
The floor on which the seat is fastened is lowered.
Seat fasteners not bolted but welded to the body.
Brand new ATL safety fuel cell.
Emergency power-cut-off system can be operated from the inside as well as the outside.
Other:
Stack Tachometer.
All other gauges by VDO and still original dashboard.
Brand new (in-car)batterycase.
And lots of other stuff I can’t think off right now. or are too little to write down. Car comes with a set (or all sets) of wheels by your choice: GTA replica’s, OZ Ultraleggera/Superleggera or Revolutions. I have tons of spare parts, (i.e. engines, gearboxes, axles, grilles, lights, racing seats etc. etc. etc.) which can be sold with the car.
