Hoekstra LTD presents this 1970 Porsche 911s VSCDA Group 8 Class C track car for this weeks feature. This car was sought out and purchased in 1994 by a Porsche Master Technician, track enthusiast and current owner to build a track and competition car to s/t specs. This car retains its original rust free tub and chassis and original aluminum deck lid. To lighten the car to its current weight of 1911lbs, fiberglass fenders and hood were added, doors were stripped of hardware and lightened with aluminum, all glass is Lexan, and fiberglass rear quarter extensions were used. The roll cage structure was fabricated with chromoly tubing, gusseted for strength, and tied in using himes joints for adjustments.nnThe well thought out suspension consists of lined and reinforced shock towers, rear bars, 21 fronts, Bilstien shocks front and rear (lowered at the spindles), front and rear adjustable sway bars and a King Kong 44 center adjust system for the rear bars. Wheels are 15 inch fuchs, 8 inch rears, 6 inch fronts. The purpose built motor consists of a 2.7 liter case, 2 liter crank, nickel ceramic cylinders with JE pistons, 2.2 liter heads, Elgin 310/296 cams, custom built Webber 36mm carbs, deep sump, front oil cooler and baffled oil tank producing 250 hp. The transmission delivering the power is set up with 901 gears (1st C/ 2nd GA/ 3rd KA/ 4th Q/ 5th V), Aluminum intermediate plate and Wevo shifter. Completely rebuilt including bearings and syncros. The car is fresh with only 3 events on motor and transmission. Brakes are the original S calipers, spec- rotors and Porterfield pads.nnThis car has successfully competed numerous times locally in VSCDA events at Grattan and Gingerman Raceways as well as Mid-Ohio, Road America, Blackhawk Farms and Brayton Memorial Street Circuit and is accompanied with two log books. Throughout its completion history, the car has always finished top of its class accident and incident free. Countless dollars were used and a tremendous amount of energy, time and shear passion for the sport was utilized in the evolution of this car. Whether you are looking for a track day car or you are looking to pass tech and compete in VSCDA, this car presents much bang for the buck and could not be created for near the purchase price. Much more info is available, please contact us.nnThis car is a turn-key, ready-to-race, complete package and is offered at $42,900.00. This includes H4 headlight assemblies, wiper assembly and Forged Aluminum Fuchs shown. Other safety features include the well structured cage, seat brace, updated fuel cell, and full fire suppression system.
